Eleven is a short story written by Sandra Cisneros. Eleven is about a girl named Rachel and she was going to have a party, but it was ruined all because of an ugly, old, red sweater. Her teacher’s name is Mrs. Price and she is a mean teacher that is unfair with Rachel in the classroom. An example is: “You put that sweater on right now and no more nonsense…Now!” and that’s when Rachel wishes she wasn’t eleven.
Rachel is credible because she is shy in front of other people. So that makes her credible because anyone who is real, can be shy. An example is “But it’s not…”, that shows her being shy because she can’t even finish what she wants to say.
Rachel is also dramatic because she exaggerates about the sweater ruining her birthday and she was really mad at the teacher. She causes too much drama in her life because she gets too stressed out about her birthday being ruined by the sweater.
Rachel is also credible because she doesn’t really talk a lot. Rachel seems very shy and it must be bad having a red ugly sweater ruin your birthday. Also, when her teacher put it on her desk and yelled at her like that, I thought that was really mean to do to your own student in the classroom in front of everyone else in the class.
